The children's author David Walliams parted ways with publishing house.
Prolific young adult author and entertainer David Walliams has parted ways with his longtime publishing house, as confirmed by the firm.
An official for the publisher stated: "After careful consideration, and following the appointment of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing additional books by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the move was made after an review of claims about inappropriate behaviour towards female individuals.
The publisher did not confirm the motivations for this action, adding: "It is not our policy to discuss confidential company decisions."
A Highly Successful Literary Career
Walliams ranks among Britain's most successful children's authors, having sold over six tens of millions of copies internationally in 55 languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins back in 2008.
Several of his titles, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as small-screen adaptations.
He has published more than 40 books altogether, encompassing a festive story named *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins last autumn.
A Dual Career
His initial claim to fame came on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE back in 2017 for his services to charity and the arts.
The publisher's decision comes after the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss in October.
